And use Putty as SSH client.<\/p>\n<p><span>Example<\/span> :- Connecting from Windows PC to a Linux server, We will use an SSH client.<\/p>\n<p>The reason we suggest to use Putty is that it&#8217;s pretty easy to use and not like any other clients which require heavy installation.<\/p>\n<p>First, let us start with downloading Putty installation file to our local system.<\/p>\n<h6><span>Downloading it from Official WebSite<\/span><\/h6>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 30px !important;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.chiark.greenend.org.uk\/~sgtatham\/putty\/download.html\" rel=\"nofollow\"><span>http<\/span><span>:\/\/<\/span><span>www<\/span><span>.<\/span><span>chiark<\/span><span>.<\/span><span>greenend<\/span><span>.<\/span><span>org<\/span><span>.<\/span><span>uk<\/span><span>\/~<\/span><span>sgtatham<\/span><span>\/<\/span><span>putty<\/span><span>\/<\/span><span>download<\/span><span>.<\/span><span>html<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Accessing &nbsp;above URL you will see a list of binaries. We recommend downloading the latest version &#8220;putty.exe&#8221;. Clicking on that a pop-up window appears as below, Select &#8220;<span>Save File&#8221;.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><span><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/content.fastwebhost.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/putty.l1-300x165.png\" alt=\"putty-l1\" width=\"301\" height=\"166\" style=\"width: 301px;\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>By default, the installer will install in c:\/programs. After the installer saves &#8220;<span>Run<\/span>&#8221; putty.exe and select &#8220;<span>Next&#8221;<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><span><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/content.fastwebhost.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/putty2-300x234.png\" alt=\"putty2\" width=\"301\" height=\"235\" style=\"width: 301px;\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>At the next step select &#8220;<span>Create a desktop icon for Putty&#8221;,<\/span> and select &#8220;<span>Next&#8221;<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Select &#8220;<span>Install&#8221;,<\/span> That&#8217;s it : ) It will finish the installation process.<\/p>\n<h6><span>Configuring connection<\/span><\/h6>\n<p>Clicking on Putty icon from your desktop, It shows the configuration page as below.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><span><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/content.fastwebhost.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/putty.l2-300x289.png\" alt=\"putty-l2\" width=\"302\" height=\"291\" style=\"width: 302px;\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Use below details and click &#8220;Enter&#8221; on the area which was highlighted on the&nbsp;dashboard.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>&#8220;Host Name or IP address&#8221; enter server IP here.<\/li>\n<li>22 will be the default Port number.<\/li>\n<li>Select for SSH.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>After entering the above details click on &#8220;Open&#8221;, Now you will see an alert message as below.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><span><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/content.fastwebhost.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Putty5-300x191.png\" alt=\"putty5\" width=\"302\" height=\"192\" style=\"width: 302px;\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s normal when you are connecting for the first time go ahead and click on Yes.<\/p>\n<p>Now you will see a terminal where it will prompt you to enter username and password.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><span><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/content.fastwebhost.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Putty.l3-300x190.png\" alt=\"putty-l3\" width=\"302\" height=\"191\" style=\"width: 302px;\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Give username and at the time of entering the password, you can notice no characters display&#8217;s on the screen. Give your password and hit &#8220;Enter&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Now it will display successful login page.
